PURPOSE OF JOB / FUNCTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Channels are a key differentiator in RBS’ GTS Global Payments business. The Channels team manages multiple (online and direct) international cash management channels like Access Online, Access Direct and the GTS / Access Portal that provides clients with access to and interaction with relevant content, applications and business processes through a single window.
The Channels team is the business owner of the global cash channels suite, representing RBS both externally and internally. The Channels team is responsible for product management (product development and product marketing) of the client interfaces. The Product Manager Channels (Portal) will be responsible for all aspects (understand, create, deliver, check) of the product management cycle including (but not limited to):
- Understanding and prioritising client and internal needs
- Analysing the competitive landscape and market trends
- Keeping track of vendor and technology developments
- Defining channel vision and strategy (including communication and pricing strategy)
- Defining product proposition and commercial offering
- Creating channels roadmap, year plans and marketing plan
- Scoping releases
- Providing input for business cases
- Defining low level business requirements and use cases
- Providing input to product development projects
- Accepting products by reviewing and accepting functional and user acceptance test results, product embedding and commercialization results
- Managing stakeholders (external (clients) and internal (like sales, client service, operations, other product teams))
- Executing capacity planning/business forecasts
- Defining service level agreements
- Participating in incident management process
- Managing risk within the channels portfolio
- Conducting surveys and processing feedback from clients, sales, client service, implementation management and operations
- Improving administrative, operational and customer facing processes and documentation
- Creating sales support materials, customer testimonials, case studies
- Participating in award winning management
- Writing white papers and thought leadership articles
- Supporting sales and implementation management
- Providing training and organizing product calls, user group meetings and road shows
- Executing win/loss analysis
The focus of the Product Manager Channels will be on Portal product development and product marketing (client experience, cross-product business integration and shared resources like content management and security services).

Additional Comments: Job Description is very specified as this is a replacement of a current contractor that has left the organisation. Please present candidate that match as much as possible to the role requirements. It is a combination of a Product manager role with good IT knowledge to be able to understand the technical language. A lot of contact with internal and external stakeholders. Candidate should be able to lead a discussion to convince clients to buy into certain products.
This is a 40 hours per week role. Candidate will be reporting to the Head of Portal.
Candidates need to be fluent in English
