Functie omschrijving
The senior CDD Analyst understands conversion of compliance rules & regulations into the execution of CDD processes. Understand the internal processes very well. He/she performs customer due diligence, trains and guides the other CDD analysts in the team. Also the senior CDD Analyst provides CDD expertise analysis to the various client-facing business units both locally in Utrecht, and to remote RI locations. In general The senior CDD Analyst maintains and monitors an adequate and up to date CDD process.
• Support the overall CDD process for RI Utrecht and RI international business users
• Perform support and quality checks on the CDD information received from the business
• Support the business in collecting missing documentary evidence
• Function as key liaison and expert for the business in the field of CDD processing
• Flag and report specific risk insights generated through the system toward RI Compliance (if/when required)
• Maintain close contact with RI Compliance in order to remain up-to-date about regulatory & policy changes, and their effects upon the CDD process.
CDD Expert
• Monitor application of agreed business rules in CDD process
• Support the business in executing and/or completing CDD
• Monitor CDD quality (such as ensuring all evidentiary documentation is digitally available)
• Ensure fast processing of CDD support or information requests from the business
• Function as “go-to” expert for the business and all international locations in the area of CDD requirements
Liaise with RI Compliance
• Establish a good working relationship with all relevant RI Compliance Officers in the field of CDD
• Have regular interaction with RI Compliance to be on top of regulatory changes that affect CDD processing, or to be prepared for changes in CDD requirements driven by RI Compliance.
• Consult/advise on CDD processing insights to GCDM Manager and RI Compliance (making practical improvements in the CDD process)
Administering and reporting
• Execute regular/monthly reports on different CDD categories toward relevant stakeholders (eg. RI Compliance and RI business units).
Experiences:
• The candidate should at least have 2 years experience in business analyses within the financial services branch.
• Experience with compliance is beneficial.
• Experience in or exposure to one of the following fields: (credit/operational) risk management, general client handling or business support operations or compliance.
Skills:
• Clear understanding of markets and companies. Ability to put a company in the context of its industry and operating location.
• Affinity with KYC, AML, Compliance, Corporate ethics or other client integrity aspects
• Knowledge of company structures, such as parents, UBOs, subsidiaries and branches as well as an understanding of shareholder structures.
Thinking/working level:
• Good oral communications and awareness of the needs of the receiver. Ability to switch rapidly between commercial and operational counterparts.
• Ability to build good relationships with key stakeholders. Being proactive and company sensitive.
• Analyze complex and contradictory problems within GCDM, Compliance and the business and present solutions.
• No 9 to 5 mentality
Education:
WO / HBO, preferably in Business Economics
