Rabobank International, branch The Netherlands is looking for a Technical Support Analyst
(m/f) within ITI CCSI Telecoms Operations.
Department:
CCSI Operations Telecoms forms part of the Communications and Cross Site Integrations
(CCSI), which in turn is part of the IT Infrastructure (ITI) group of Rabobank
International (RI).
ITI is responsible for provision and support of RI’s global IT infrastructure. Within
ITI, CCSI is responsible for providing architectural, engineering and support expertise
for global network, AD, e-mail and mobility infrastructures of RI; with the CCSI
Operations Telecoms team focusing on the global network.
The CCSI Operations Telecoms team is based out of two sites, London and Utrecht, as such
travelling may be required between these sites.
Job description:
The task and responsibilities of the Technical Support Analyst are the following;
This job role is split between operational work and project work (30/70%). The project
work involves preparing network ports in the data centre for server migrations and
supporting the server move. The project work will require Saturday working, approx 2 -3
Saturdays a month. The ideal candidate will have some experience of data centre migration
and working as part of a work stream within a large project and preferably in a Cisco
Nexus data centre.
- Deployment and support of Local Area Network solutions based on the Cisco Ethernet
Switching product range including Nexus. Following implementation guidelines, deployment
of solutions, following developments in product range, standardizing on hardware and
software revision levels.
- Deployment and support of Gateway solutions providing access to Internet and Financial
Markets, based on Checkpoint, Cisco and Juniper product ranges. Following implementation
guidelines, deployment of solutions, following developments in product range,
standardizing on hardware and software revision levels.
- Deployment and support of Wide Area Network solutions based on the Cisco and Juniper
product ranges. Following implementation guidelines, deployment of solutions, following
developments in product range, standardizing on hardware and software revision levels.
- Documenting functionality, scope of deployment and traffic profile; ensuring network
readiness in meeting service level agreements.
- Providing second and third level support to the LAN, WAN and Application environments.
Knowledge and required experience:
- Deployment and support of Local and Wide Area Networks
- Good experience in support and deployment of OSPF and BGP routing protocols.
- Good experience in support and deployment of QoS and traffic contracts in LAN/WAN.
- Good experience in support and deployment of MPLS networks delivering layers 2 & 3 VPN
and Traffic Engineering solutions.
- Experience in support and deployment IP Multicast based on Cisco product range.
- Good writing skills.
- Hands-on Network Management skills in application and configuration of at least two of
the following platforms: HP OpenView, InfoVista, Crannog
- Thoroughly familiar with protocol analysis tools such as Network General Sniffer.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft networking infrastructure.
Experiences:
- 2 to 3 years of networking and systems experience or the equivalent in knowledge and
expertise
- 1 year of programming or the equivalent in knowledge and expertise
