IT Architect
Job description
For one of our clients we are looking for a IT architect who will be resposible for the
design and architecture of the IP network service platform and its subsystems. These
(sub)systems are (usually) composed out of rack servers running either Linux or Windows
Server operating systems and offer specific functionalities. The IT designer analyzes
requirements and creates functional and technical designs & documentation, takes care of
capacity and performance planning and writes respective guidelines, maintains up to date
documentation & design set for the platform.provides strategic support towards future
platform architecture and services. The architect leads the team of engineers and is
responsible for the CAPEX cost model for the IPTV service platform and services.
Job demands
The candidate possesses the following skills and qualifications:
• At least 5 years of experience in a similar position
• Strong analytic / problem solving skills
• Relevant finished BSc / HBO (e.g. computer science, electrical engineering)
• Demonstrable strong documentation skills & affinity
• Solid understanding of it systems and systems integration
• Working knowledge of linux (redhat) and microsoft (server 2008) operating systems
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal (English=must, Dutch=pre)
