For our client based in Den Haag, I"m urgently looking for a Tester /Product Supporter (2nd lvl):
Description of responsibilities:
- test appls in staging (pre-prod.) environments
- review, test installation scripts, documentation
- 2nd line product support (test, troubleshoot/debug)
- bridge the gap between developers, supporters and users
Skills Mandatory requirements:
- Experience with 2nd level appl Support.
- Experience using incident reporting, bug tracking, problem management, and change management tools (Tivoli TSD)
- Experience with Test Director or Quality Centre
- Basic programming awareness (must incl. JAVA)
- Ability to read shell scripts
- Ability to troubleshoot software runtime exceptions and liase with development teams as required
- Good working knowledge of Windows, Unix and Linux.
- Ability to work in a multi cultural environment
- Excellent communication skills in English.
Nice to have:
- Awareness of service and object orientated principles
- Experience of middleware messaging and workflow environments is an advantage
- Working knowledge of SQL, relational databases and database design is an advantage.
