Our client is an international and independent organisation with locations in Amsterdam, Germany, Belgium, Spain and Malta. Amsterdam has two locations and deploys more than 200 employees. For the Amsterdam locations we are looking to recruit an Interim Project Manager ERP.
Job description
We are looking for an experienced Interim Project Manager to manage the configuration and implementation of an ERP System at the two locations in Amsterdam. The key objective of the project is to replace the current Exact software to Microsoft Business Central, by using the companies wide standard chart of accounts and finance and procurement processes. Furthermore, the selected system requires to have important functional interfaces (automated or via export/Import step) with other applications.
They recently selected a software implementation partner that will offer an existing ERP system which is targeted to go-live by June 2023. For the configuration and implementation of this new ERP, we are seeking a dedicated Interim Project Manager. The successful implementation is all about a proven solution with limited customizations and excellent project management, whereby the ‘management of change’ process within the terminal organization is essential. You will be working with internationally distributed teams, to ensure delivery on time, within scope and budget and of desired quality. Implements robust project management practices.
Responsibilities
Lead and drive the ERP project team through an agile project and development approach;
Manage the end-to-end delivery of the project, manage all changes and drive successful implementation of the software;
Cooperate with and manage the external software implementation partner;
Collaborate with internal functional and management teams at the same time, taking into account working operating environment;
Manage the project from an IT/system as well business perspective, including the change management process from a user perspective;
Define execution plan and approach based on program scope, expected timeline and available budget/resources;
Lead technical and functional teams comprising of members of separate organizations to coordinate day-to-day execution as per outlined plan;
Support execution teams with resolution of roadblocks and interdependencies;
Manage stakeholder communication and progress reporting;
Demonstrate persuasion and influencing skills that ensure alignment between customer (users at terminal), product manager and ERP project team.
You will report directly to the Project Owner & Managing Director of Amsterdam.
Your profile
Bachelor’s Degree or Industry Recognized equivalent;
Experience and proven success in transformational project management, in-time solution delivery;
Project Management certification (for example Prince, PMP, IPMA);
Excellent Leadership and organizational skills;
Good understanding of ERP systems is mandatory, experience with Exact and Microsoft Business Central is preferred;
Personal Attributes: influences and energizes others toward the common goal;
Ability to Make Decisions/Sense of Urgency;
Goal orientated; consistent in ‘sticking to the scope, timeline, budget’;
Change oriented – confronts difficult circumstances in creative ways, balances multiple and competing priorities with a lean mindset;
Good communication skills and excellent knowledge of the English and Dutch language;
International focused.
What do they offer
This is a temporary position for a freelancer. We are looking for someone from mid-January till mid-August 2023. Workload will be approximately 4-5 days per week, this might differ per project phase. Maximum rate is around 100,- euro per hour.
