Opdrachtomschrijving

We are looking for a Secret Management Process Specialist to accelerate the ongoing rollout of CyberArk Vault for managing interactive, high-privileged personal accounts. The goal is to implement secure access controls that enforce just-in-time (JIT) access, access justification, and auditability — all while improving adoption across internal tech teams.

Outcomes of the project.

The project must implement secure access controls, enforce just-in-time (JIT) access, access justification, and auditability, while significantly improving adoption across internal tech teams. The rollout is already underway and must show measurable progress before the end of the year. Key milestones must be met before year-end.

About the role

As a Secret Management Process Specialist you are responsible for defining and operationalizing an end-to-end process for how high-privilege user identities (e.g., DBAs, sysadmins, platform engineers) request and access credentials through CyberArk Vault.

You will:

  • Define and operationalize an end-to-end process for privileged user access.

  • Enforce justification-based access for privileged sessions.

  • Ensure that passwords are never exposed directly to users.

  • Integrate session management, monitoring, and logout procedures as part of the standard workflow.

  • Support change management and onboarding efforts across engineering and infrastructure teams.

  • Act as the bridge between technical users and the security/PAM governance model, translating control requirements into usable processes.

Responsibilities

  • Define, document, and implement a secure access process for interactive privileged accounts using CyberArk.

  • Collaborate closely with internal product, platform, and security teams to ensure alignment and buy-in.

  • Design and support the integration of vault workflows into daily operations (e.g., for DBAs accessing production systems).

  • Support just-in-time access and approval workflows, with full session auditing and logging.

  • Identify and manage exceptions (e.g., emergency or break-glass access).

  • Lead and track progress of the rollout; ensure key milestones are met before year-end

Who are you?

This role requires a strong understanding of how PAM tools operate technically , but also how to drive adoption in real working environments — where users may be moving from unmanaged access to controlled workflows. You are a professional with a proactive, hands-on, and outcome-driven mindset.

Experience

  • Solid experience with Privileged Access Management (PAM) tooling — especially CyberArk Vault.

  • Proven experience implementing or supporting secure access processes for high-privileged personal accounts.

  • Project management experience in a technical security context.

Profile

  • Understanding of key PAM concepts: just-in-time access, vaulting, session management, credential rotation, and audit logging.

  • Strong process design and requirements gathering skills.

  • Able to work across teams — from developers to sysadmins — and understand their workflows.

  • Excellent communication skills; able to explain security changes and gain trust from technical stakeholders.
