For our international client we are looking for a Technical Specialist.
Fulltime (40 hrs./week)
This role is in the Virtual Workspace service team in the Technical Landscape Services organization (TLS). The purpose of TLS is to operate the Enterprise Technical IT Landscapes. The differentiating IT services that TLS bring to the business are created by bringing together: - Specialized and unique own-operated IT technologies - Staff with thorough Business workflow knowledge - Market sourced IT solutions (where available) Staff in TLS comes from core IT functions as well as business skill pools such as Geosciences, Petroleum Engineering, Engineering, Manufacturing etc. The Virtual Workspace Service provides a High-end Technical Workstation service to our technical users around the world that is accessed through a high-end thin client protocol (HP RGS). It is a mixed environment of Linux and Windows based clients. This setup delivers our client various optimizations in the high-end workstation area. The Virtual Workspace Service global team is a combined team with our remote site technical computing service team and currently consists of 13 people. With the continued infrastructure growth, technology changes and some additional project activities that the team is accountable for we are now looking for a VWS service engineer. The primary role of the global Virtual Workspace Service (VWS) engineer is to: - Operate VWS specific services on a day-to-day basis - Deliver operational services against compliance and service mgt processes - Driving continuous service improvement and efficiency gains through improved solutions, tools and utilities - Delivery of agreed release management and deployment activities - Deliver VWS related projects

Technical Skills and Experience: Experience and Qualifications required:
Candidates must have a strong technical background in (technical) infrastructure service delivery on a global scale across Windows/Linux, high-performance computing and thin-client technologies
In-depth Windows and/or Linux OS knowledge
Microsoft App-V and Leostream broker knowledge preferred
Bachelor’s level education
An understanding of the Subsurface business, workflows, tools and processes would be a plus
ITIL IT management processes (ability to operate stringent Change, Incident, Problem, Request, Asset Management and Release Management regimes)
Ability to prioritize, and make appropriate trade-offs
Interface with customers, end-users and providers, maintaining effective relationships
Ability to identify and realize opportunities for improvement
Preferred Technical Project Lead experience, managing small projects involving multiple technical disciplines and/or participating in large projects delivering solutions for Upstream.
