The Test & QA Manager is responsible for all the testing activities within the project and the assurance that services purchased are delivered to the agreed quality. He/she creates a master test plan and manages the test organisation on the basis of this. He/she provides technical direction, planning and management of assurance and testing activities on the project. He/she oversees and co-ordinates the end-to-end assurance and testing life cycle.
The Test & QA Manager advises and supports the project manager in the optimal organisation of the test set up, the test process and its strategy.
The Test Manager possesses wide experience in testing and improvement processes and uses methods such as TPI (Test Process Improvement), TMM (Test Maturity Model) and TAF (Test Architecture Framework).

manages cost, time, quality, risk, scope and resources regarding the test & QA process
maintains and nurtures the client / vendor relationship
prepares and maintains Test-ware (Test Cases, Test Data, Test Stubs/Harnesses) in an auditable way
oversees the evaluation of the finished product for both quality and reliability
Bachelor or master degree in IT (or IT related) area
at least 5 years of experience in test management for large framework contracts
demonstrated experience in multiple outsourcing and transition projects
demonstrated experience in working in a medium to large (financial) enterprises using test methodologies (TMap Next, ISTQB) and providing high-quality service in a complex, medium to large IT Infrastructure Program environment based on incentivized SLAs/performance standards.
Experience with in TMap Next, ISTQB or an equivalent widely accepted Test Management methodology suitable for the client environment
Experience with Prince2, PM-BOK or an equivalent widely accepted Project Management methodology suitable for the client environment
ITIL V3 certification
Demonstrates the ability to present ideas persuasively to provide insight, gain buy-in, and/or steer others to specific outcomes
Conveys the authority and confidence necessary to establish credibility and drive results
Managing and Controlling: Wide experience in test projects in diverse environments, leadership capacities and a knowledge of both development methods and project management methods enable the Test Manager to manage large test processes
Organisational awareness: Assesses client needs, requirements, preferences and expectations
Technology Awareness: Keeps up to date with overall trends and changes in the technology market and in detail with those that are relevant to one’s area of professional expertise
Ability to work in an international/multi-cultural environment.
