For our client, IT is part of the primary process. This implies that IT needs to be solid and secure. The requirements of the availability of the systems are high because of the Internet Banking product. This demands 24x7 support from IT and the necessity of a disaster recover site in which the critical bank systems are duplicated.
The Functional Application Management and Development Team is supporting all business applications within the Bank and performing development and maintenance on interfaces and small own build (reporting) solutions.
We are looking for an interim Senior Officer Functional Application Management for Compliance and Transaction Monitoring during maternity leave of the application manager currently servicing this area.
Specific job responsibilities
•Responsible for functional application management on the compliance and transaction monitoring profiling(related) systems; being the bridge between business and IT;
•Provide 2nd-line application support for the Compliance and transaction monitoring related systems.
•Act on requests from the 1st line functional support-team, follow and chaise the correct (incident) procedures to closure within the departments and keep in contact with the requestor (including root cause analysis;
•Proactively solve application related questions and issues including escalating to other (IT) support groups when needed;
•Formulate requests for changes (RFC), perform impact analysis, perform acceptance testing according to Bank's development procedures (DTAP) and co-ordinate RFC delivery and align with our software vendors;
•Takes ownership of the procedural documentation;
•Provide the information for an adequate IT performance reporting;
•Proposes on process optimization and team improvement
•Coach (junior) IT Officers Functional Application Management;
•Train the business on using the application;
•Participates in projects
o Prepare implementation plan together with a project leader
o Reports on the risks and progress of projects
o Assist project test teams with issues raised in the test environments and proclaim the practical use of the application(s)
o Project evaluations.
•Facilitate Business Processes
•Provide support to internal clients to optimize their processes
•Provide support to the manager in the area of new Business Initiatives and Vendor Management (Software, Hardware, Managed Services), when required. For instance in:
o Vendor evaluation and management
o Contract and contract management
•Provide support and coach Officers within the team when required
•Contribute to vision, strategy and focus of the team and support the Manager to achieve targets
•Ambitious professional with a HBO/University degree in Information Technology or equivalent education
•At least 6-8 years of relevant experience within Information Technology and change or similar Department of a financial institution
•Knowledge and working experience in requirements management, test management and information and business analysis.
•Sound knowledge of banking instruments
•Sound Understanding of ICT Architecture
•Sound understanding of Bankproducts in the area of Structured Trade Finance, Asset Backed Finance, Treasury products
•Sound understanding of Risk management, Audit and Compliance issues in the area of banking
•Sound understanding of managing projects, designing business solutions and preparing decision making
•Sound Understanding of Technical and Functional Application Management
•Sound Understanding of test management, software development lifecycle, project management and information analysis
•Sound understanding of the Agile/Scrum methodology
•Excellent communication skills in English and Dutch, both verbally and in writing
•Preferably experience with the Bank’s compliance, AML business, Transaction Monitoring and the related applications
•Preferably familiar with eastnets Filtering and reporting solutions e.g. en. safewatch.filtering and en.safewatch.profiling
