Project Description

The Technology Project Manager for Marketing Operations Automation is responsible to partner with the Technology team and with the Marketing & Merchandising business team to deliver projects using accepted processes and methods.  This includes managing all project phases and activities such as: risk management, stakeholder expectation management, project / solution advisement, project management and execution, etc… in order to produce high quality deliverables.  This position is responsible for a medium to large sized project, with complex integration scenarios, impacting multiple functions and resources.  

Establishing precise project definition and planning

Deliver preliminary planning for scope, timelines and resource requirements
Identify tasks/action plans to accomplish project objectives
Identify and obtain resources needed to accomplish objectives
Gather / provide estimates for resource / work requirements and challenge those that provide them
Identify assumptions, risks and contingencies in all planning
Coordinate planning efforts with all involved teams and ensure they are on board to deliver
Establish clear and realistic timelines to accomplish project objectives

Manage execution

Ensure project team is aligned with clients technology and business strategy and vision
Ensure Technology strategy is well represented for the implementation of the solution
Convey clear expectations to appropriate team members
Monitor progress of team members to plan and hold them accountable for delivering results
Execute group plans within scope and budget, utilizing the requested or established time
Advance problems toward resolution despite ambiguity or uncertainty
Make timely decisions on risks, problems and issues
Identify, communicate and/or escalate issues, risks and status to manage stakeholders’ expectations
Measure project deliverables on quality and completeness regularly to ensure the project meets quality standards
Facilitate and track adherence to statement of work, legal/contract management
Control overall scope and ensure any deviations are presented via a change management process
Communicate to operational and executive levels of management
Adapt style to fit situational needs

Project requirements

Certification in PMP/Prince2/Agile/other methodologies
10+ years’ experience with managing projects
7-10+ years’ experience with managing and implementing system integration projects
4+ years working with Marketing teams
4+ years’ experience working with marketing automation tools and managing marketing automation deployments
Experienced in broad range of Marketing Resource Management solutions, like Teradata, SAS, Brandmaker, etc… and products they interface to, like Product information management systems, contact management systems, etc…
Fluency in English, verbal and written;
Effective leadership, communication, collaboration, adaptation skills; results-oriented and able to drive project to success
Strong ability to build a team for success and to have an open, trustful environment to run the project
