Job Description

The IT PMO team operates within the IT Project Delivery team. The PMO team is a staff-type of team, which basic role is to provide a well-equipped environment for the Project Management organization, covering the European region. The team also delivers support to the other IT teams in the same region on organizational aspects.

An overview of the activities residing under the IT PMO team

  • Project Governance

o Ensuring a correct project intake and project closure.
o Performing Stage Gate Reviews during the project.
o Maintaining project management templates.

  • Resource Management

o Resource planning on projects
o Arranging temp staff, validation of and providing advice to requests for temp staff
o Organization and control of (legal/HR) compliancy elements of hiring and placement of (external) resources

  • Finance & Reporting

o Maintaining and developing reports in the PMO Qlikview dashboard
o Create monthly Management Pack
o Co-operation with IT Finance team in recharging of applicable activities to the business

  • Training

o Providing PM training
o Providing SharePoint training
o Providing ChangePoint training

  • Support

o ChangePoint (project management tool)
o SharePoint

The role of the IT PMO consultant will find an emphasis on

  • Contribute to development and enhancement of PMO or organizational related processes.

  • Support in administratively setting up project control elements (e.g. SharePoint and ChangePoint).

  • Perform Stage Gate Reviews.

  • Contribution in maintenance and development of IT SharePoint pages

  • Providing and pro-actively enhancing KPI reporting on project performance and resource related reporting, including development of standardized reports

  • Providing reports and information on specific request, including support in the use of project control elements and resource or organizational related procedures

  • Reacting on planning requests, providing overviews and interaction with agencies


  • Relevant bachelor degree and proof of experience in a comparable organization.

  • Experience with formal structured Project Management methods, e.g Prince II

  • Good planning skills

  • Good documentation skills

  • Experience with MS Excel and reporting tools e.g. QlikView, MS Access

  • Good knowledge of project lifecycle

  • Familiar with working in an IT support environment

  • Basic knowledge of system landscape, typical within logistics area

  • Proven analytical skills and attention to detail

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

  • Able to communicate in some other European languages is a benefit

  • Good presentation skills

  • Ability to motivate others

  • Work with all levels of management and communicate appropriately
