The Design Data Management team supports various applications that enables the worldwide designer community to collaborate in an effective way and ensure high quality designs of new products. The team provides a number of 1Coff the shelf 1D applications to support Configuration Management and Change Control, Requirements Management and Project/Portfolio Management. Approximately 5500 R&D Engineers located on the various sites worldwide use the applications that are offered by the team.
The main challenges for 2016/2017 for the team will be to support a merger. Due to this merger the R&D community will grow to 12000 engineers and data migrations and application optimizations will be required to support the much larger user community. Within the team we are looking for a software developer to strengthen the team.
scope of work: We are looking for a software developer (non embedded) with affection for configuration and change management that will:
Participate in various (integration) projects as software developer
Analyze and implement changes
Evaluate and test upgrades and new functionality on applications in scope
Execute general software development tasks, building small applications / scripts
Support to the designers in the business units how to use the custom scripts and reports we developed

Guide engineers how to extract data themselves and build their own custom reports/scripts.
Strong software development and scripting skills (SQL, Python, JAVA, shell scripting)
Good knowledge of Subversion and other configuration management tools and ways of working.
Understanding of software design in general as well as the related development flows.
Experienced in working with Linux environments
Experience with issue tracking workflows and systems
Knowledge of web architectures and web technologies.
Knowledge of the CollabNet TeamForge ALM platform
Knowledge about ITIL processes
Experience with customer oriented support.
Good training/teaching/presentation skills.
Ability to organize own activities and finish activities independently.
