Projects and Technology (P&T) is the technical powerhouse supporting the Business Group to become the most innovative and competitive energy company in the world.
P&T Projects (PTP) are involved in management and delivery of Projects worldwide across all Businesses: UA, UI and DS as well as P&T and IRD projects. The Project Group provides global services out of 4 delivery centers (The Hague, Houston, Kuala Lumpur and Bangalore).
P&T Project Engineering (PTP/G) is functionally accountable for project delivery of all projects in the business portfolio. PTP as a whole is accountable for delivering all projects above 10 Mln USD. The PTP/G team engages with all project delivery organizations across the globe, both upstream and downstream, in P&T and outside P&T and has a global mandate wrt project reporting to EC and board, driving the People agenda, developing and implementing Policies and driving improvement Practices in Project Engineering.
Position description - Purpose ________________________________________
Effectively support the management of a Global portfolio of projects and support the VP Project Engineering in doing so. Part of this is support the semi-monthly and quarterly reporting cycle to the Board of RDS and the Executive Council. Effectively implement, improve and administer a business management system that enables the PTP Projects organization to deliver TQ projects and facilitate planning at a portfolio level, in alignment with the businesses and the PTP VP Project organizations. Understand business performance and business drivers, in conjunction with Finance support the development of annual Business Plans, and ensure leadership and the staff of the organization have the information needed to run the business effectively. Support the VP Project Engineering in running of the PTP/G team.
Position description - Accountabilities________________________________________
Portfolio Performance Management & Reporting
Compile and submit required highlights from VP-ships for PTP/PT.
Compile the quarterly reporting requirements to EVP, EC and board. Effort required include data retrieval, completeness check, data analysis, KPI calculations, visuals, commentaries, report compilation, reviews and delivery.
Monitor, track and communicate performance and progress in delivery against Business Plan, GIP and LE.
Leverage this information to drive portfolio performance, by tracking KPIs and actions for VP-ship, and analyzing and understanding trends.
Apply a proactive approach to identify any performance issues with material impact and assist in bringing solutions, where necessary drawing on central support.
Monitor TQ performance including FEL, CCI and benchmarking across portfolio and support actions to address gaps; member of benchmarking network.
Coordinate regular reviews of project performance and status with appropriate leadership.
Support the establishment of business performance measures and scorecards; review performance for quarterly appraisal sessions and identify opportunities for improvement and enhancement of business.
Support the development of annual Business Plans for PTP in conjunction with Finance.
Coordinate, plan and facilitate performance review meetings within PTP, and other meetings required
Support communications and develop communications material as requested / needed for VPship
Support the overall PT and PTP communication process to ensure that roll out of high level strategies and initiatives are cascaded and understood
Support effective sharing of learning and improvement activities and best practices within organization and across other project delivery organizations

Provide business support to growing PTP organization
Key interfaces/Relationships with Line (Project Managers, Project Delivery Managers, extended organizational leadership), Finance, HR, other P&T Managers, Upstream, Downstream and UA Gas business, and other stakeholders.
Active supporting role in the GDH and RDH organizations, and the PTP LT
Coordinate communications within organization.

Experience and Qualifications required ________________________________________
BS degree, or equivalent, and/or and a broad understanding of Projects, Upstream, DS and LNG businesses
Knowledge of data mining and analytics.
Ability to deliver management report accurately and under challenging timeline.
Knowledge of and experience with Project Delivery processes.
Knowledge of and experience with Business and Planning Processes.
Ability to identify key business challenges and issues.
