Currently we are looking for a Senior Freelance Business Analyst for a top client in The Netherlands.
The Business Analyst is the primary contact for our stakeholders and is responsible for identifying, modelling, documenting and prioritizing the functional and non-functional requirements of the business and business domain details. The Business Analyst represents customer and end-user concerns by gathering input from stakeholders to understand the problem to be solved and by capturing and setting priorities for requirements.
They may also help to identify potential areas of automation and support or advise the business in re-engineering the underlying business process. The Business Analyst acts as the liaison between our customers and IT in order to deliver effective and cost-efficient solutions and is proactively involved in the entire software development process in order to ensure successful delivery of the system or release.
If required you create and maintain business process models.
You define systems and project scope/objectives through research, fact finding and elicitation with a solid understanding of business, systems, and requirements.
You provide high impact (strategic and tactical) advice on a senior management level.
You translate business requirements into (possible IT) solution requirements.
You are responsible for requirements documentation and assist in developing and deploying the solution.
You participate in testing of applications against requirements.
You represent the department and your team and act as a reference point for staff colleagues and the business partners.
You develop and maintain knowledge of business and business architecture.
You continuously work to increase knowledge and to be familiar with best practices.
You assess the impact on the CFRO logical data model and work with the CFRO LDM team to extend the model if necessary
You translate the required BI project work into user stories and ensure that these are ready for the development team to use as basis for development and testing
You work with business users to ensure they can understand the data model and can use it to meet their needs
You coordinate changes from start to finish through the chain.
7 or more years’ experience in international wholesale or retail banking and/or 7 or more years’ experience in business analysis
Knowledge of and Experience with Financial Risk Domain
Data Architecture patterns
BI Stack (SSIS, SSAS, SSRS)
Reporting tools (Tableau, Excel, SSRS)

You set high requirements to the quality of products, services and processes and act accordingly.
You have extensive knowledge of and experience with wholesale and retail banking and ICT in general and credit risk in particular and a proactive eagerness to watch trends and developments within the domain to identify new business opportunities.
You use your domain knowledge and judgment to challenge our customers’ questions and proposed solutions.
You have a ‘Can do’ mentality to explore alternative workarounds.
You understand the benefits of continuous delivery and are able to convey these benefits to the product owner
You adopt, and help the business adopt, a continuous delivery mindset (increased focus on prioritisation, continuous grooming of backlog, etc.)
You can facilitate a workshop
You know how to use your influencing skills when necessary
You know how to work with data
You understand the data (domain knowledge)
You know how to model data
You are proficient with querying the data
You can quickly identify concepts and contexts, you quickly understand the language of the business and the team, the organizational structure and domain knowledge, and you make new approaches quickly your own.
You are able to conduct a business impact analysis and can act as a coach for junior business analysts.
You have a ‘getting things done’ mentality to coordinate changes from start to finish through the chain. You have the ability to develop a helicopter view over the system and the current changes.
