We are looking for a logistic engineer in the department Supply Chain Management Service Parts. This department is responsible for the planning and availability of service parts worldwide.
In this role balancing inventory levels and availability is key. The engineer will follow up on operational tasks, chase suppliers and other parties in case of escalations, report on supplier performance and support internal process improvements. Stakeholders are: internal departments as purchasing, service, R&D, manufacturing. The engineer will be part of a team of 16 colleagues both engineers and planners. The world of service part logistics is a dynamic, non predictable environment. Therefore flexibility is an absolute must.
-Analyse and adjust inventory control parameter settings.
-Analyse obsolesence risk and execute actions to prevent this.
-Find (operational) solutions in case of shortages (in cooperation with internal departments as -purchasing, service, R&D, manufacturing)
-Participate in special interdisciplinary teams for small improvement or short-term problem solving projects.
-Develop improvements on supply chain performance.
-Report and steer availability on service parts, analyse root causes and submit actions.
Candidate has a master degree in Logistics or Supply Chain Management
3-5 years of work experience in manufacturing organization
Knowledge of and experience with SAP and MS Office as well as proven experience and/or affinity for Service Logistics and inventory control for capital goods
To be successful the candidate is goal oriented, flexible, pro-active, negotiation skills and result driven
Candidate has profound knowledge - verbal and written - of Dutch and English language. Knowledge of German is an advantageous
Candidate is permissioned to work in the Netherlands, and able to provide, if requested, a certificate of conduct
