Support the Product Owner / Manager in the planning and administration of product support and development. Perform the necessary requirement gathering, solution design, system setup and maintenance in the resolution of issues and enhancement requests.
Key Results Areas
Product assurance, solution design and setup, issue supporting and release execution (approx. 60% of time)
Support the Product Owner / Manager in the prioritisation of bug and enhancement requests, and ensure that business users are kept informed on progress
Define release requirements and scheduling of product specific activities within release process
Provision of subject matter expertise on relevant products for new projects and solution design
Work with the business on requirement gathering. The requirement gathering process includes identifying the demands of the business, as well as the ability to probe symptoms, identify problems and arrive at solutions.
Assist in the release of enhancements and bug fixes through the development and support lifecycle, validating the accuracy and completeness of the release documentation, system setup and release execution
Assist and support application configuration
Provision of subject matter expertise on relevant products to assist the support, development and testing teams in resolving system issues, performing necessary solution design, system setup and maintenance
Help ensure relevant stakeholders at all levels of the business are aware of product developments and aware of specific product concerns with regards to projects.
Attend regular user forums to ensure that the product continues to deliver business benefits, and gather product enhancements that drive continuous improvement.
Product specialisation (approx. 30% of time)
Provide product experience and guidance for relevant solution areas
Advise and assist support on functional corrections, testing and enhancements as required
Maintenance of the Product Roadmap and Product Backlog tools (approx. 10% of time)
Run the business-as-usual (BAU) prioritisation processes
Responsible for product planning and administration
Maintain relationship and point-of-contact for stakeholders, including users and development community
Essential • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject area
Relevant commercial experience (1 - 5 years as a guide) likely gained in a project management, development or finance background
Relevant Product functional experience including setup execution and documentation
Industry relevant background
Experience of Product analysis and functional documentation
Experience of Business analysis processes and documentation
Some experience of working within a delivery methodology environment, e.g. Agile, AIM.
Experience of creating product strategies and roadmaps for an organisation or business unit.
Experience working on bespoke software solutions or products in a software house environment
Project Management experience
