Within this position you provide 24x7 operational monitoring, troubleshooting and problem resolution for all the Siebel environments. The goal is to ensure stability and availability of all Siebel environments. Furthermore you facilitate knowledge transfer amongst team members and other support teams. This means you will not only interface directly with the end users but also with other teams within IT and business departments.
You will also act as a subject matter expert who will use her/his knowledge and experience to make recommendations when new applications or major application or architectural changes to existing applications are planned to help ensure success.
Ensure availability of Siebel environments and the software running in each environment.
Provide support, troubleshooting, and incident resolution.
Monitor daily Siebel components (create and implement Siebel component probes, health checks, notifications); ensure all interfaces are on-line and running as appropriate
Monitor scheduled jobs, Siebel components and interfaces and ensure successful operation.
Communicate with customers and support teams from problem identification through problem resolutions regarding technical support.
Submit problem tickets to vendor(s) and work with support as necessary.
Provide 24x7 on-call responsibilities as part of a weekly staff rotation.
Monitor and plan for capacity and performance of all Siebel Servers.
Provide input for service level reporting to Lead Service Architect
Support Software Change Management.
Provide application code deployment support.
Design, implement and execute Software Build & Release Process (including specification Siebel builds components - repository, Workflow, Views & Responsibilities, srf, web services, business services, CTI, EAI etc).
Optimize Siebel Software Components with configurable parameters.
Plan, track, communicate and oversee all planned environment changes.
Participate in Disaster Recovery planning and drills.
Complete routine administrative duties such as time tracking, resource plans, vacation and support coverage plan.
