Department CIO
CIO (Corporate Information Office) internally and to end consumers. CIO's areas of responsibility are research, design, implementation and support of the IT systems that allow our affiliate companies across Europe to deliver services to our customers. CIO strategy is to find and deliver cost effective Pan European solutions to meet affiliate business requirements and to support new products in the marketplace. To deliver services, CIO employs a series of standard processes to support Corporate approval, budget checks and adherence to SoX.

Description of the Services

  • Test environment design: Create test and production environment designs (environment diagrams, technical environment matrices, technical dependencies between interfaces, environments, countries, and/or programs)

  • Test Environment Delivery Management: Assure that required test and production environments are built before the start of JIT & UAT. Assuring the physical environment is set up and connected

  • Software release & integration Management: Assuring software delivery parties deliver correct software versions in time and make sure a QA is executed before the start of any test phase. Making sure that interface specs are clear and Delivery parties deliver their software accordingly.

  • JIT & UAT support: Manage the delivery of fixes from the relevant Software Delivery Parties into JIT & UAT making sure that test teams and other Delivery parties are aware of implementation schedules and dependencies.

  • Support production deployments and go-lives: The CIO Integration Manager fully supports the production deployment of the Client IT projects. This includes technical planning, plan execution, technical dependency management, cross platform release management, Create & manage detailed go-live plans. These activities are a crucial part of the actual creation of the solution in its final state, i.e. running in a production environment used to actually providing Client services to our customers.

  • Lead, directly and through the Project Team, Technical Integration Management within the CIO Deployment Group.

  • Support the CIO Deployment Team, CIO Test Centre Of Excellence and DMG Program Manager.

  • Serve as CIO technical single point of contact for CIO-scope activities across the assigned programs.

  • Identify program technical dependencies, manage cross-functional teams to drive, track and deliver all necessary IT components, data alignment, and message structure of the components to complete the delivery and testability of the E2E solution.

  • Ensure that JIT (Integration) and UAT (User) Test phases start on schedule and with necessary pre-requisites in place.

  • Support CIO Architecture and DMG in the review of design artefacts across multiple program stakeholder silos.

  • Execute within the Change Control process across multiple programs.

  • Ensure production and maintenance of environment Connectivity Matrix, Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM) Component Availability, Integration reporting and planning.

  • Challenge the status quo and champion new initiatives; act as a catalyst of change and stimulate others to change to increase operational efficiency.

  • Collaborate with CIO management to ensure that the CIO technical teams consistently follow the documented and agreed IT Deployment processes. Drive and support operational excellence.

  • Facilitate communications across technical delivery teams and component owners (both internal and vendor). Serve as escalation path for teams across the UPC organization (CIO,CTO,CNO) for Integration Management issues encountered throughout the SDLC.

  • Build relationships with other corporate teams and country affiliates to align CIO deliverables to strategic business initiatives. Assist in the planning of CIO deliveries to meet value-based strategic objectives of the business.

  • Produce domain-specific status reporting in line with CIO governance objectives.

Requirements (Knowledge, Skills & Experience)

  • English (mandatory) and Dutch (preferred) language proficiency.

  • A minimum of 7 to 10 years related experience.

  • Bachelors (Computer Science or MIS) degree, or comparable experience.

  • 3 + years of relevant technical experience (OSS/BSS/Web)

  • Project management certification or demonstrated project management experience

  • Experience managing matrix organizations delivering IT implementations and involving multiple software application integrators.

  • In-depth understanding of all Software Delivery Life Cycle (SDLC) phases including development methodologies – Waterfall, Agile, Scrum.

  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with various people and organizations in an effort to develop win/win results.

  • Deep level of proficiency and understanding of information technology and the linkage between business processes, people and systems.

  • Broad technical knowledge of cable and IP network technologies, cable company & telecom operations and IT solutions.

  • Lead by example; providing clear communication, recognising team and individual achievements, providing and supporting opportunities of professional development of both the individual and team.

  • Excellent communications skills, with the ability to confidently communicate effectively and concisely to all employees, including senior management, preventing misinterpretation and ensuring mutual and shared understanding.

  • Proven ability to establish and maintain effective working partnerships at all levels through a collaborative approach with a wide range of groups, including internal departments, Affiliates and vendors.

  • Organisation and analytical skills; with the ability to see at both the helicopter view and focus on detail if required.

  • Intermediate Microsoft Office and PC based application proficiency.

  • Proven motivational skills with direct and indirect reports, enabling effective and successful collaborations.

  • Proactive individual - able to see issues and suggest solutions before they arise.

Work Schedule
The Integration Manager is required to work on a full-time basis during normal working hours from Monday to Friday except on public holidays. Any absence, i.e. holiday leave and sickness, should be reported to and approved by the relevant supervising manager.

Location where the Services will be performed
Client’s offices at Schiphol Rijk, The Netherlands.
Where there is a requirement to travel to locations outside The Netherlands, this will be advised by the relevant Client supervising manager. Additional reasonable travel and subsistence costs for travel to other Client office locations within or outside Netherlands will be reimbursed by Client and will be agreed with Client manager prior to travel.
