Manager Training

Job purpose

The Manager Training is responsible for driving, facilitating and administering the knowledge management process.
The Manager Training is to drive, manage and coordinate the functional training agenda.
Driving awareness, usage and reporting on aforementioned topics to optimize performance and development of procurement professionals in close cooperation with cross functional stakeholders.
Drive the procurement development roadmap from a knowledge and training point of view
Maintenance of a standard set of procurement capability training materials


Develop the strategy and training approach, working in close collaboration with both the Regions and the Procurement Partner.
Ensure that each competency / capability area is supported by a clear development pathway and is coherently reflected and communicated including reporting and monitoring of training activities.
Ensure the portfolio is up to date by collaborating and driving continuous improvement with stakeholders, ie suppliers.
Drive the academy by providing clear communication and stakeholder management; Play a lead role in the design, communication and management of the annual training calendar.
Monitor the training portfolio by establishing criteria for measuring impact
Manage delivery of class room trainings
Alignment with stakeholders to ensure maintenance of a standard set of training materials.

Knowledge Management

Initiate, develop and maintain the knowledge management strategy at Procurement globally, as part of the strategy to achieve the global priorities to leverage the benefits and drive personal leadership
Knowledge management has the aim to facilitate global organisational sharing of standards, procedures and good practices as well as knowledge retention.
Manage and drive department sites; eg promote knowledge sharing, communicate sharing of best practices, guard document review periods.
Provide functional support on knowledge management tools.
Ensure Procurement taxonomy is in accordance with hierarchical relation between Rules, Standards & Procedures, and Knowledge and Good Practices.
Provide User and key user training on our knowledge management systems
Monitor and continuously improve knowledge management tools eg department sites, etc
Manage external suppliers of knowledge content


Minimum 5 - 8 years relevant working experience, including substantial experience in business-, change and or people development activities.
Must have experience working in a communication, learning & development environment.
Good understanding of business processes of FMCG, preferably operational experience.
Experience in project management
Share Point expertise (intermediate)
Excellent excel and power point skills
Data management and strong analytical skills
Presentation skills
Event management
Understanding of the procurement business and challenges
Understanding in change management and communication
Movie Maker, MS Publisher, Camtasia, and other media/communication applications (intermediate)
Able to work in a cross functional environment.
Preferably a background in the FMCG industry.
Knowledge of SAP ECC, SRM, Sourcing and/or BO is a strong advantage
