For a client of Huxley Banking & Financial Services I’m currently looking for an Enterprise Architect.
As Enterprise Architect you are developing the Insurance capability in the Asset Management Delivery team. The client has a complex, highly integrated IT landscape that supports a variety of business lines. The design of the landscape is done by a team of architects.
Have excellent communication skills
Have proven experience with Service Oriented Architecture
Have a track record designing and implementing solutions for large complex business transition programs in the financial industry
Have the ability to work on Enterprise Architecture as well as Solution Architecture
Can lead complex programs from an architecture perspective
Have experience in working with Archimate and supporting tooling (preferably ABACUS)
The Enterprise Architect has a good overview of all capabilities in the company, their current status and understands the roadmaps of each of them. This person aligns with business stakeholders, IT delivery teams and other architects to make sure those capabilities provide the right functionality for the Insurance component in Asset Management to support its business needs. This person needs to be the trusted advisor of the Delivery Team Manager Asset Management and the SVP Asset Management and Insurance.
The development of the insurance capability within Asset Management from a business architecture.
Application architecture and infrastructure perspective in Archimate.
Facilitate the selection of the right application tools to support the Insurance capability and monitor the implementation of this application set.
Steer a variety of suppliers and system integrators by providing clear direction to them to ensure compliance of deliverables with the Enterprise Architecture.
The Solution Architect designs solutions for programs and projects in the region. This role departs from the business architecture and makes changes to the baseline architecture within the constraints given from the enterprise architecture.
Provide an architecture consultation to all stakeholders of the program that clearly positions the impact of the program in the Enterprise Big Picture (overall capability model) in terms of architecture fit, impact and dependencies with other programs.
Define the architecture work required on program level to be able to start projects. Complete reference architectures, business capability models, transition state architecture solutions and value chains to support program planning activities.
Create the Project Start Architecture documents for all projects and monitor the consistency of the design during the implementation of each project by managing architecture issues and reporting deviations in the program governance.
bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of study (master’s degree preferred)
at least 5 years’ experience in a similar role
10+ years in IT and must have knowledge of and preferably be certified in TOGAF and Archimate,
background in Insurance and preferable experience in financial services industry.
The candidate reports hierarchically to the Senior Vice President Enterprise Architecture with a functional reporting line to the Delivery Team Manager Asset Management. He/she leads a team of domain architects, solution design consultants, information security officers, technical experts and developers. The role is dedicated to the insurance project part of the Asset Management program/strategic initiative.
