Site Reliability Engineer
From internet bank to IT company: when you start at the Company as an Engineer, you will become part of a challenging transformation within our highly innovative environment. You will work as an Engineer in a SRE team (Site Reliability Engineer). The purpose of this team is to mitigate impact at incidents as quickly as possible and to prevent that they will occur again.

Determining the way of working within your expertise. Allocating specific knowledge / areas of attention and setting the standards. You do this in collaboration with the IT Area Lead and your fellow IT Chapter Leads.
Sharing knowledge with colleagues and encouraging and coaching them in such a way that they can fulfil their potential.
Constantly enhancing your own expertise, thereby contributing to the further development and innovation of the specialism
Actively requesting help and feedback, but also daring to provide feedback.
Desired Skills and Experience
Your personality is characterised by qualities such as ownership, team player, innovative, proactive, flexible and customer- and solutions-oriented. Additionally, you possess:
A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
5 to 10 years relevant work experience, including experience in an agile organisation. For example, in a role as lead engineer, team lead, technical manager or technical lead
Excellent problem solving skills and root cause analysis
Comfortable with large scale production systems and technologies, for example load balancing, monitoring, distributed systems, and configuration management.
Expert in scripting (Python or BASH)
Deep OS knowledge (mainly RHEL)
Able to read and understand multiple programming languages (f.i. JAVA, Scala)
Expert in creating monitoring dashboards
Familiarity with and enthusiasm for software engineering best practices such as testing, continuous integration and continuous delivery.
A passion for elegantly solving problems using open source software whenever possible, avoiding complex solutions and reinventing wheels.
A passion for contributing to open source software, fixing bugs and implementing features.
