Specific tasks:- Management of the New Product Development Process, and the New Product Development Project Portfolio, via Gensite Focus.
Support and training to stakeholders engaged in the New Product Development Process, including but not limited to the IPCR process, Gensite Focus etc.
Acts as a liaison to the BA Process Leader and IPCR team.
Continuous improvement of the Innovation process ensuring alignment and compliance of SMU to IPCR Innovation Process.
Project Managers are responsible for updating Gensite Focus, this role supports Project Managers to ensure timely update of all project documentation; this includes but is not limited to: Financial data;
Project objectives; Timings and milestones; Score cards etc.
Ensuring that projects are aligned with the SMU Mandates and differentiated market strategy
Analysis of revenue and value streams derived from NPD (including NPI calculations)
Creating output/reports and disseminating in a timely manner to senior management within the SMU, BA and Corporate (where necessary). This includes but is not limited to: Monthly Technical Report,
Gensite-Focus, SMU Quarterly Report, BA Quarterly Report.
Translate customer/market needs into coherent technical programs.
Support the co-ordination of technical effort for new product development projects.
Identify and highlight regional/local developments that have global application.
Identify significant technical opportunities and their potential for global exploitation.
Engaged in Technology Roadmapping process for SMU.
Provide technical support and input to SMU / BA sustainability activities including but not limited to: EPS Portfolio; LCA Evaluations; Carbon Footprint models; Energy usage models; Renewable raw
Be familiar with all the applicable corporate as well as site and laboratory policies/procedures with regard to personal conduct, HSE and Product Safety & Regulatory Affairs (PSRA) standards and
ensuring that all R&D staff in the team(s) works according to AN HSE and compliance policies.
Main Management Responsibilities:- Acts as an ambassador and encouraging talent processes and engagement.
Ensures a job profile is in place, sets objectives for team members, reviews development and provides clear, open and constructive feedback on performance combined with the appropriate actions.
Strengthens the talent pipeline by developing talent and regularly assesses and discusses talent and internal movement. Continuously monitors and evaluates retention risk.
Stimulates, manages and follows through on employee engagement and builds on the workforce to reflect the societies and markets in which we do business (D&I).
Creates an open environment in the team where all people can perform at their best and stimulates the development of others and ensures an engaged team.
Ensures reporting line is fully informed and acts in line with HSE and Compliance regulations.
Manages and plans relevant (departmental) budget and proactively manages the costs.
Reports on progress on a continuous base.

Not detailed oriented, although a technical background will be necessary to be able to convince.
Candidate will need an R&D or technical background, academic background, min. 6 years of experience (more preferred).
Needs to be able to adapt to different situations, to be able to convince, harmonize, and sell ideas.
Experience with project management en R&D, strong analytical skills and helicopter view, strong social skills. NB: we're not looking for a process engineer!
Amsterdam. Travelling will be required as we have different sites in Europe (e.g. UK, Sweden, Germany, Spain)
