Accountable for partnering with business stakeholders and the Head of People to understand and determine the appropriate people interventions that support business strategy, driving increased business performance. Partners with COE’s to shape solutions, through to full implementation in line with our commercial strategy.
Works with the VP, People to ensure divisional alignment of people plans

  • Supports leaders and managers in identifying and facilitating the delivery of organisational projects and divisional people initiatives, including cyclical HR activity.

  • Helps to drive improvements in business performance through effective delivery of key people activity.

  • Ensures a proactive and excellent customer focused people service is provided to the business and that each People experience is consistent and high quality.

  • Supports a people management culture that is commercially focused and reflects the LG brand, values and behaviours.

  • Supporting the Reward strategy ensuring current practices are reviewed & fit for purpose supporting the business strategy.

  • Drives the implementation and evaluation of people initiatives and ensures appropriate resourcing and delivery. This includes the delivery of all cyclical people activity for client group. For example: annual salary review, bonus; performance management and engagement activities.

  • Improves Leadership capability through coaching and advising stakeholders on key people activities.

  • Seeks opportunities to review organisational design, in line with agreed principles for spans and layersthat support function(s) objectives and in line with budget.

  • Demonstrating commitment to a strong relationship with our people through our leaders and Works

  • Council aligning to our Employee Relations strategy.

  • Supports transformational activity through strong change management approach ensuring the way that People change is delivered, is consistent with our brand values and cultural principles.

  • Monitors project progress, raising issues and managing risks as appropriate, helping to maintain and drive employee engagement during project related change.

  • Analyses MI to determine areas requiring action and recommends proactive solutions on such areas as attrition, attendance management, training needs, performance management, reward and recognition, employee engagement, resourcing and benchmarking for your client group with guidance from the

  • People Director to ensure functional alignment and monitoring successes & ROI.

Job demands Interim People Business Partner

  • Previous experience in a generalist role in a commercial environment, delivering a proactive HR service and implementing a people strategy in line with business objectives.

  • CIPD Qualified (or equivalent business qualification).

  • Works well in a dynamic environment and is solution orientated.

  • Proven experience of large scale organisational people projects.

  • An ability to manage and resolve conflicting priorities and stakeholder concerns.

  • A team player with the ability to motivate and work alongside others and share best practice with proven experience of managing high quality, results focused, people teams.

  • PC literate including excellent proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Project and Oracle.

  • Strong project management skills gained through formal qualifications and / or participation in significant change across a large organization.

  • Good understanding of People policies and procedures, best practice and current thinking regarding effective and commercially sound employment practices.

  • Skilled at managing relationships and conflicting priorities at a senior level.

  • Good coaching, facilitation and consultancy skills with a proven track record of being able to influence at all levels.
