Conceptual data modeler
Support BIOs in information modeling on their concrete projects by practically applying Enterprise Information Architecture standards, concepts and tools
Leverage practical experience from hands on BIO projects to support Enterprise Information Architect in his tasks to develop and continually enhance Enterprise Information Architecture strategies, standards, concepts and tools.
Scope of responsibilities
This position is in our Enterprise Information Management organization, in a small team of dedicated information modelers who form the corporate center of excellence in domain modeling.
Initial focus is on our enterprise master data domain models, specifically our product data model and our employee data model.
Beyond 2013, there will be a wider scope for domain modeling that spans across master data, transactional data sets, performance metrics, behavioral data models and more.
There is no physical modeling involved in this position, although conceptual models may impact our physical schema designs so review of physical schemas will be asked for.
Active participation in knowledge transfer towards our staff, including active training sessions, writing up of handbooks, guidelines, best practices etcetera (predominantly for online consumption, i.e. wiki pages etc).

Solid understanding of basic concepts of information modeling incl. ER modeling1
Working knowledge of XML and UML class diagrams
Prefer manufacturing industry related experience.
5 years experience on conceptual and/or logical information modeling
Have established standards, guidelines, and procedures for design and maintenance of domain models
Must have experience interacting with end users, other developers, and/or other teams as part of the development process.
