Voor een directe eindklant in Leiden is Harvey Nash op zoek naar een Ervaren Helpdeskmedewerker.

As IT Specialist you work within the IT Infrastructure Services team. This team support all offices, sites and partly joint ventures within the Netherlands and abroad.

We support 4 offices, around 10 sites and 2 joint ventures with totally around 1.800 users, these users can include external clients as well.

The IT Infrastructure Services team is part of the IT Netherlands department which arranges all IT supports within the Netherlands. The IT Netherlands department is part of a corporate IT structure and therefore there will be many interaction and cooperation with cross functional IT departments in other countries around the globe.

Main Responsibilities

Oversees all IT Support activities and interacts with internal end-users and clients on all levels to help resolve IT-related issues and provides answers in a timely manner. This IT Support will be done on different levels (mainly 1st and 2nd and for some services 3rd line).

Support Users and Endpoints (Desktops, Laptops, Printers, Smartphones, etc.).

Support other locations (Physical visits and/or Remote).

Installation, configure and troubleshoot from Operating System, Applications and performance.

Maintain user, group and data.

Personal Skills / Qualifications

Strong customer service ethic.

Ability to prioritize, multitask and quickly resolve issues.

Excellent verbal communication skills.

Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.

Team player.

Willingness to learn new technologies and maintain industry knowledge.

Ability to learn quickly on company structure, multiple IT environments.

Experience within a 1st and 2nd support to end users.

Willingness to work outside business hours to minimize downtime is a must.

ITIL Foundation

Dutch and English language skills, verbal and written.

Driver license.

Technical Skills / Qualifications


MS Windows 7

MS Office 2010

Active Directory

File Server knowledge

Application installation and troubleshooting.

Basic knowledge to troubleshoot/repair endpoints

Basic knowledge network

Basic knowledge MS Exchange

ITIL Foundation

Deployment technology from OS and/or Applications.

McAfee (Antivirus, Encryption)

Packaging Software (Wise, etc.)

Scripting (Windows Power-shell, VBS)

Smartphone device knowledge (IOS and Android)
