Reporting, Data & Analytics (RDA) is looking for a Senior Credit Risk Analyst with SAS skills to support the Risk Reporting team.
We are looking for a candidate with thorough credit risk knowledge, who performs well in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. The successful candidate has strong time management skills, high attention to detail and is a strong team player. As a Senior Credit Risk Analyst you will have the opportunity to support critical and dynamic Risk deliverables to internal and external stakeholders of Bank, and to analyse and report on ING Bank’s credit risk portfolio. In this process, you will work closely with (senior) staff of both Risk and Finance, and interact with business line teams for specific requests. On the technical side we are looking for a person who is familiar and can work with SAS.
In this role you will be involved in improvements of our external credit reporting disclosures.

Enhance the Pillar III (counterparty) credit risk disclosure;
Coordinate and manage complex Credit Risk reports and ad hoc request in order to make sure that the team is able to deliver high quality information within the required deadlines to our stakeholders;
Monitor, analyse and report on all important concentrations and trends in the credit risk portfolio of ING Bank. Reports in scope are a.o. ING Quarterly Disclosures report, the internal Credit Risk Dashboard, Concentration Risk and Counterparty Risk Reporting, etc;
Respond to (ad-hoc) questions and data requests from external stakeholders such as Dutch and European Regulators, Risk Rating Agencies;
Participate / become work stream lead in risk reporting projects;
Think along, connect and align with the other Credit Risk reports and projects to get our reports to a higher level, enabling our stakeholders to make the right decisions.
Your work environment
The Reporting, Data & Analytics (RDA) department is part of the Risk Services organisation providing reporting, analysis and data quality assurance & governance services to internal and external stakeholders. RDA consists of three teams: Risk Reporting, Self Service Analytics, and Data Governance & Quality.
The Risk Reporting Team is an international and enthusiastic team providing internal and external stakeholders with clear insight into the credit risk portfolios of Bank. The Reporting team follows an agile way of working in which two value streams have been defined:
Regulatory and External Reporting: this team provides information such as quarterly disclosure to the market, regular& ad-hoc reporting to external parties such as ECB, DNB, Rating Agencies etc., and ad hoc questions from analysts and investors.
Portfolio Management Reporting: focussed on providing information such as the Credit Risk Dashboard, concentration and counterparty risk reporting to internal stakeholders including the Management Board Bank, Credit Risk approval bodies and (senior) management.
All members of the Reporting team have frequent interaction with other departments in the Bank organization and as such have an opportunity to discuss and get insights into specific portfolios. Openness in communication and “can do” mentality are important characteristics of the department.
Who we are looking for (expertise)?
Master in Economics or Finance;
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Risk Analyst within Credit Risk;
Knowledge on Basel III/ CRD IV;
Able to perform (trend) analysis on Credit Risk portfolios;
Experience in coordinating reports and projects including stakeholder management;
Knowledge on SAS/ Business Intelligence/ Analytics skills is preferred.
Strong analytical skills with a high attention to detail;
Be able to keep oversight and see the bigger picture;
Have ability to cope with internal and external pressure;
Be a good team player, able to contribute in a multi-cultural team;
Be able to work independently and steer / coordinate the other junior team members;
Communicative, accurate and able to work with challenging deadlines;
Strong "business sense" combined with the ability to research new topics to develop insights and drive actionable results;
Fluency in English both written and verbal (work language).
