ARM's Media Processing Group (MPG) within ARM is at the forefront of advanced multimedia IP products. The Mali range of Graphics Processors delivers highly advanced acceleration of Graphics and GPU Compute, tuned for low energy consumption and high performance.
With considerable success to date, our customer is expanding their existing teams, and are seeking a talented, highly motivated Hardware Design Engineer to specifically focus on graphics processor development in ARM.
As part of the Mali Hardware design team, you will be expected to contribute throughout the whole IP development cycle, from product requirements to delivery. This consists in conducting design investigations, specification, RTL description , running constrained random functional simulations, design reviews, among others.
Contributions to our methodologies, self-development and training junior engineers will also be expected, to ensure a long term development of our team.
Communication and team spirit are important aspects of the job as you will have to daily interact with other engineers and teams, across design centres.

Specification of the functionalities of the design, with a focus on energy efficiency.
Writing high-quality RTL, running functional simulations.

Develop architectural/micro-architectural solutions that will halve energy consumption.

Good university degree, in electronic engineering or computer science ideally, although other science graduates will be considered if they have relevant experience.
Experience with specification and RTL implementation of complex designs.
Experience with power reduction techniques.
A thorough understanding of IP development process.
Excellent communication skills. Good English is mandatory.
Organised, ability to schedule workload for self and the team.
A high-level of pro-activity.
Experience with GPU design.
Knowledge of the graphics pipeline (Open GL, Direct X).
Significant experience with UNIX, shell, scripting.
High-level programming experience with languages such as C/C++.
