Job Mission

As Jr. Vendor Manager you manage the quality services delivered by our ESP’s. A department within the IT organization is the Competence Center Operations & infrastructure (O&I). O&I provides all IT application and support services. This includes all IT applications used at the client and generic IT infrastructure services like laptops and desktops, telecom services, network and datacenters. O&I makes sure these services are running in an optimal way and continuously looks at innovating these services. The day-2-day operations have been outsourced to so-called External Service Providers (ESP’s). To be able to manage our ESP’s we are looking for a Vendor Manager.

Job Description

  • Initiate and drive continuous improvements

o Assisting in vendor performance evaluation process (QLTCS)
o Assisting in drive to continuous improve ESP’s performance
o Coming up with improvement proposals in own area of influence
o Closely work together with the IT Delivery Managers to drive improvements throughout the IT value chain

  • Manage the financials associated with the ESP’s

o Quotation and invoice verification against contract agreements
o Purchase Requisition and Purchase Ordering initiation
o Rolling Financial Forecast input gathering, preparation and evaluation (twice a year)
o Signaling over / underspend on Purchase Orders and budget line items

  • Manage the HR related aspects with the ESP’s

o Manages the vendor resources (leavers / joiners), including regular verification with our ESP’s
o Processing / validating onboarding and account and authorization requests
o Record keeping of the clients assets in use by our vendors

  • Manage the various ESP contracts

o Assisting in managing the various vendor contracts including its cost drivers
o Assisting in contract extensions
o Managing contract end-dates and initiate on-time the discussion about contract renewal

Requested Skills

  • Bachelor / Master degree;

  • Experience in Financial Management is preferred;

  • 2-5 years of practical experience;

  • ITIL V3 Certified Service Manager is a preference.

Personal skills

  • Self-assured, capable of convincing people.

  • Strong communicator in Dutch and English

  • Thorough knowledge of MS Excel

  • Strong presentation skills.

Consultancy skills

  • Ambitious and with a pro-active, initiating attitude.

  • Ability to plan and set priorities.

  • Team worker, good social skills, customer-oriented.

  • Think practical on the impact of decisions for end-customer / user.

  • Strong analytical skills, including advanced application software skills, such as presentation, spreadsheet and word processing applications.
