Project Leader Windows 10 Migration

Description:
The organization will be migrating to Windows10 (globally 30.000 PC’s) and also has to replace a large volume of the PC’s to new models and accordingly also some peripherals (such as keyboards, docking stations and memory/disks).

The organization is looking for a strong Project leader that has knowledge of procurement/ordering large volumes of IT assets (PC’s and peripherals) in a global and complex organization and adhering to the timelines and processes defined by the project.

This Project Leader will also have a team of remote analysts assigned to process activities required for the ordering in a time challenged activity. This part of the program need of a Detailed Planning and dedicated process implementation for the replacement of the PC’s.

Tasks and deliverables:

1. Collect and verify the PC’s and the additional peripherals that need to be replaced and group them per site, department and type of PC. Create Inventory lists.

2. Cross check with users on the right match of replaced PC needed (together with the specifications).

3. Check with available assigned budget communicated by the different departments.

4. Execute approval alignment with Cost Center Managers.

5. Request quotations from vendor (already contracted, 1 vendor).

6. Prepare and execute the Purchase requisition until approval.

7. Create delivery planning of the PC’s and peripherals to locations per defined Windows10 migration schedules.

8. Coordinate the delivery from vendor with the local site to ensure correct delivery.

9. Alignment with Site IT Managers on orders and delivery planning (standing organization).

10. Coordination with Regional Roll out managers on the volume of orders and planning updates (project organization).

11. Trigger delivery acceptance for invoicing and CMDB updates (database with all PC’s delivered and their assigned users).

The resource need to have the following qualifications:

• Experienced Project Leader; 3+ years of relevant experience in roll out projects of workplace services;

• Proven experience/expert knowledge in the following

• IT Ordering process flows;

• PC models, specifications and peripherals (no technical skills needed);

• Detailed planning skills ;

• Steering remote teams.

• Able to read, write and speak fluent English;

• Strong capabilities working with Excel, ServiceNow reports and SharePoint sites;

• Experience with outsourcing of IT services and HW vendors;

• Work experience in large, international companies and have dealt with or worked for global service providers is a pre;

• Work very accurate, independent and ‘on the planning’;

• Able to handle stress and show ownership and leadership in this project track;

• Hands-on mentality and organized;
