RPA Solution Architect (interim)
For an international end user company in North Brabant area I’m currently looking for an Intelligent Automation Architect / Robotic Process Automation Solution Architect.
The candidate will be a direct contributor to the success of the newly formed RPA Product team to help build bots that help simplify business processes across the company. This is a high visibility role with lot of exposure to grow and learn multiple processes.
The Specialist Intelligent Automation Architect is a critical role in the Intelligent Automation Product team that partners with Intelligent Automation Process Analysts to understand the automation requirements and produces, tests, and implements RPA or other Intelligent Automation solutions for production deployment. The candidate will ensure alignment of business and technology requirements, provide SME support to the team of Developers and resolves robot training issues. The candidate will partner with business functions to understand their processes, optimize their processes for Intelligent Automation delivery, document the discrete steps and activities to be performed by RPA and other Intelligent Automation solutions, and transfer that knowledge and documentation to the Intelligent Automation Developers for implementation. Top candidates will have an entrepreneurial spirit, excellent problem-solving skills, and strong technical capabilities in process automation. Agile Training is preferred.
Responsibilities
Ensures alignment of business and technology requirements, and provides IA SME support to the team of IA Developers and resolves robot training issues
Manages the Re-Usable Object Library and highlights those that can be re-purposed for planned IA implementations
Create or update documentation including architecture diagrams and design documents (i.e. Technical Design Document) in support of development efforts. Estimate development efforts and provide guidance on development timelines.
Hands-on RPA development and development of shared components/objects. Drive the strategic and tactical roll-out of RPA solutions.
Identify reusable components and patterns as well as ensure consistently in design across use-cases built using RPA.
Contribute to the development of procedures to continually improve a rapid and repeatable delivery channel of RPA solutions
Conduct code reviews with peers to ensure each increment adheres to original version as designed in the user story (or Process Definition Document) and adheres to highest quality standards.
Respond to support inquiries for use-cases in order to make quick repair to keep use-cases running in production.
Mentor Automation Developers, Testers and Service manager on RPA Concepts/Design patterns
Identify areas of improvement on code quality, code reusability, development methodologies, and other technical fields and drive them to implementation
Own the Solution Design and Delivery using industry standard frameworks meeting security, scalability, functional and non-functional requirements;
Advise, configure, size and provision RPA infrastructure to meet functional and non-functional requirements
Ensure the source code and documentation management tools and concepts (E.g. Jira, Confluence, GitHub, Kanban, etc) are applied correctly and consistent by the team
Oversee the design, scoping, implementation and testing in short agile release cycles of in-house development and vendor implementations end-to-end.
Participates in the intelligent automation Product Team
Participates in development, promotion and utilization of Intelligent Automation best practices
Continuously learns and stays informed on emerging automation technologies and provides recommendations to Intelligent Automation Product Team
Basic Qualifications
Certified Automation Anywhere accreditation (or other equivalent RPA industry leading platform accreditation)
RPA framework experience and/or experience with building and retiring RPA are a big plus.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience and certifications for leading automation software platforms (e.g., Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, UiPath)
Proficiency with Macros, coding languages such as Java and VBA preferred
Scripting languages (e.g., python, perl, powershell, bash, vbs, etc.)
Knowledge of SQLite, MySQL or similar database management system
Experience on web service integration (SOAP, REST, JSON, XML)
Understanding of HTML5, JavaScript, jQuery, Ajax and PHP
Basic Knowledge of Cloud Based platforms such as AWS, Google
Understanding of machine learning/AI and practical experience in building some models or leveraging Cloud based API’s
Knowledge of chat bots, OCR technologies that can be leveraged
Experience with RPA and other Intelligent Automation development and deployment
Expert knowledge of internal support systems (e.g., Workday, SFDC, Oracle)
Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning Systems – SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft, IFS.
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to investigate and identify the source of an error
Excellent communication (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
Ability to present technical details to a non-technical audience
Knowledge of architectural patterns both in software and infrastructure
Knowledge of Security protocols that impacts design considerations
Certifications in AWS, TOGAF preferred
Agile training preferred
Advanced proficiency in Object Oriented Design (ODD) and analysis.
Advanced proficiency in application analysis/design engineering functions.
