Visual Basic programmer

Dear freelancer,

AQ Consultancy is currently looking for a VBA programmer for a short fulltime assignment (2 months) with a Telecom company in The Hague. Assignment might be prolongued, but not 100% garantueed.

We are looking for a VBA programmer that has the following experience

· 1-2 Years of VBA experience with VBA;
· Very good knowledge of Excel;
· Knows how to use VBA classes in a structured way;
· Can implement proper error handling;
· Knows the Excel object model and can interface to the application;
· Can write an Excel Addin to handle Excel and external data
· Document in English;
· English or Dutch speaking.

The project

· Collect requirements for the application;
· Define high level functionality document containing the use case descriptions and class diagrams;
· Develop the product;
· Document the solution inline;
· Validate functionality and support introduction phase of the application.

Some features required from the end system

· Read configuration files / printouts of Network Elements and translate to Excel documents;
· Allow the user to define changes to the Excel documents (labeling/registering the changes the users make);
· Allow the user to export changes into Request for Change (Excel RFC) documents;
· Verify the Implementation of the RFC by comparing requested change to Configuration file exports;
· Allow the user to rollback/commit changes based on RFC identifier;
· Create network element configuration files/commands from RFC documents;
· Implement version control / automatic update of the Excel addin;
· Interface to our Configuration file repository using HTTP Requests.
