TOPspecials Project Advisor

One of my globally leading clients in Overijssel is urgently looking for a TOPspecials Project Advisor to join them on a 6 month contract. The TOPspecials Project Advisor will be responsible for developing new geo-information customized products, both civilian and military. In addition, the consultant is responsible for supporting the (key) account managers in their duties and responsibilities with regard to product development. Furthermore, the TOPspecials Project Advisor is responsible for the dissemination of knowledge regarding the uses of the various GIS tools with regard to geographical data.

The successful TOPspecials Project Advisor candidate will have the following responsibilities

• Develop new customized information products based on specific customer requirements;

• Develop new custom cartographic products based on specific customer requirements;

• Responsible for the provision of information about new customized products;

• Responsible for tailor-made coordination with MB and Account Manager (s);

• Contributes to the definition of new geodata standard products;

• Manufactures work instructions for new standard / customized products;

• Application of aeronautical information (AIXM: Aeronautical Information Exchange Model) for use in various information products;

• Coordinate with internal and external customers with regard to the tailor-made products to be manufactured as laid down in quotations, cooperation agreements and
  contracts.

• Participate in customer teams.

• Support in customer visits.

• Advise the customer regarding the use of geo-information: what does the customer want, what is possible with this data and what is not;

• Responsible for the preparation and assessment of product proposals, solutions and provides input for quotations.

• Advises GVA and KS management and staff on the use of geographical data and the various GIS and DataBase tools (including Mapinfo, Geomedia, ARCGis,
  AutodeskMap, Access)

• Acts as a subject-specific source of information for, among others, employees inside and outside the department.

The successful TOPspecials Project Advisor candidate must have the following skills

• A completed university education.

• Minimum 5 years of demonstrable expertise in the field of Geo-information.

• Demonstrable knowledge and experience with GIS applications (including ArcGIS, Geomedia, Mapinfo)

• Demonstrable knowledge and experience with databases (including Oracle, SQL server)

• Demonstrable knowledge and experience with map projections in combination with aeronautical information. Competences that the

• Being able to switch quickly and work in a team.
