IDMS Mainframe Engineer

IDMS Transaction/Database Systems Position

As a Mainframe Engineer, you will be part of a multicultural team of European, American and Indian co-workers. You will be responsible customer environments and for different products.

You will take care of the different aspects of the life cycle of these products: installation, customization and maintenance.

The mission also includes customer contacts, incident handling, problem solving, performance and change management, and development and documentation of operational procedures. General qualifications:

• Ability to work in a structured way with objectives given by a remote team leader Technical qualifications:

• Good knowledge of z Architecture and z/OS Operating system

• Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, support of solutions utilizing IDMS (Integrated Database Management System) technology.

• Resolution of problems relating to the IDMS and associated software

• Planning and installation of upgrades/new software when required.

• Planning and application of patches to fix identified problems.

• Performance analysis and capacity planning of IDMS environment

• Providing input to the planning/implementation of Disaster Recovery tests when required.

• Creation and maintenance of documentation.

• Knowledge of monitoring tools

• Knowledge of development tools (Fault Analyzer, Debug Tool or equivalents) Education: BE, BTECH, ME, MTECH, MCA
