Data / Business Analyst a.i.

We have a 7 month maternity cover assignment available as Data / Business Analyst, as per December 2019. This assignment falls within the FP&A team of our client, which is a growing internet company based in central Amsterdam. The assignment is for 4 - 5 days a week.

Working alongside the Senior Business Analyst, you’ll work on providing insights coming from various sources of data with the goal of supporting the management team with actionable insights.

A large chunk of the assignment revolves around the forecast and budget process. Furthermore you will:

Work on predictive analytics, reporting and other ad-hoc analysis
Prepare reports & dashboards that highlight the operational results, and business plans
Analyse and interpret financial and operating results
Identify operational and financial performance and key trends on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis
Identify and analyse operational issues and make recommendations for solutions
Make ongoing improvements to the forecasting model

In order to be successful in this assignment you should bring to the table the following

A completed Bachelor or Master degree
Proficiency in SQL, including experience retrieving data from relational databases
Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel, including manipulating large datasets
A love for working with numbers and conducting in depth analysis
The ability to share information and ideas in a clear, well organised and concise manner
Fluent verbal and written English skills with Dutch being a bonus
