Solution Developer(Webmethods/ Java)

You are going to work in the Stock Borrow & Lending block which is an (Agile) scrum team of high skilled international professionals. As the webMethod specialist you will participate in all the scrum events of this team and will work on and deliver the integration stories agreed upon on in the sprints.

In your daily work you have to interact with different people such as

• the Product Owner, IT Dev Engineers and business developers working in the Synthetics team;

• IT Dev Engineers and business developers working in scrum teams of other blocks;

• specialists from our Global Technology Services department in London (being DBA and Middleware specialist) and the Cognizant Technology Services department (being the platform and networking specialists and the IT Operators);

• other people working in or for the AAC GRID such as integration specialists in the CoE for integration specialists, stakeholders of the blocks and the IT Engineering Lead.

It is a divers landscape because integrations between applications are everywhere.

Based on your knowledge and expertise we expect you

• to develop, test and implement new IT interface/integration solutions;

• to maintain the existing IT interface/integration solutions;

• to perform standby services once a while as 2nd line support;

• to come with proposals how to improve the IT interface/integration solutions on aspects such as performance, reliability/stability, robustness and re-run and re-startability of jobs (if applicable);

• keep up with the ongoing changes in technology and advise us on potential solutions.

We expect you to deliver

• newly developed, tested and implemented integrations solutions and belonging relevant technical documentation and documented testing results;

• Automated testing scripts to test what you develop (also for future regression testing);

• proper JIRA administration of your work (user stories, etc...);

• proposals how to improve the IT interface/integrations solutions;

• contribution to ITIL processes that are applicable in SBL on integration area (Incident Mngt, Change Mngt, Problem Mngt, Capacity Mngt);

• contribution to PIR (Post Incident Report) process;

• active contribution in the SBL scrum events;

• active contribution to the Integration CoE.

Skillset

• Academic or HBO work and thinking level.

• experience with webMethods (from Software AG) ideally v9.5 or higher.

• experience with wM IS / wM Broker / MWS

• Java skills and/or Linux shell scripting

• strong analytical skills

• affinity with financial markets and the products traded there.

• excellent knowledge of English, both spoken and written.

• team player with a hands-on mentality
