About Polytential
Polytential is a startup that develops the Virtual Chemist, a device for the plastic recycling industry that improves the quality and production efficiency of recycled plastics. We give recyclers insight into the composition of plastic waste, using artificially intelligent algorithms that interpret sensor data. The Virtual Chemist is a hardware product with its own GUI. It integrates hyperspectral sensors with in-house developed AI algorithms. Our vision is to make plastic recycling data driven, in order to increase the profitability and in this way push the recycling of plastics to a higher level.
Polytential is based in at Yes!Delft, a technical incubator for startups located at the TU Delft campus.

Project description
The project is focused on implementing a redesign of the GUI using C++ and QT. The GUI is the digital interface used by customers to control the Virtual Chemist and is therefore a point of interaction between the customer and the product. The new GUI is part of a bigger redesign of the system, making it operable using touch.

Qualifications & Experience

Required

• Good knowledge of C++ (1 year experience)

• Experience with QT (1 year experience)

• Experience with Linux

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Rust

• Experience with using Jira/Confluence

• Experience with using Photoshop (or similar)

• Feeling for intuitive user interface design

• GIT
