DevOps Infrastructure Engineer

For one of our clients, one of the biggest names in the electronic world, we are looking for a DevOps Infrastructure Engineer for a project of 8 months with options of extensions based in Eindhoven, the Netherlands.

Overview:

You will be joining a tight-knit technology team, who are passionate about their job and enjoy playing an integral role within the client's platform. The team is responsible for a CI/CD pipeline that builds and tests 5 MLOC platform code, largely based on Windows, to which more than 100 developers contribute to on a daily basis.
You will strive to improve quality, reduce throughput time, and remove waste. You will be working on optimizing the infrastructure that is used in this CI/CD pipeline, exploiting virtualization and deployment automation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Optimize the VM deployment

• Setting up automatic provisioning of bare metal

• Works agile within the SAFe framework

• Define operational procedures and document way of working

What are we looking for:

• Hands-on experience in an enterprise environment

Technical skills:

• Experience with Vagrant, spinning up Windows VMs in vSphere

• Experience with Packer, creating Windows VM templates

• Experience with Ansible, Puppet or similar tools

• Windows automation skills using PowerShell

Nice to have:

• Experience with a CI/CD pipeline using Jenkins

• Experience with state-of-the-art DevOps tools

• Experience with MSBuild

• Experience with Agile Development processes

• Knowledge of Hyper-V or similar virtualization technologies

• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes and similar containerization technologies

• Knowledge of infrastructure monitoring tools

• Knowledge of MDT
