In line with the Business Intelligence roadmap and projects, the Oracle APEX Specialist is expected to migrate work on delivering and enhancing existing web based applications/solutions. He or she will, in conjunction with the project development team and the business, install, configure and migrate existing APEX environments and test these on functionality. Currently the platform is running on APEX Application Express 5.0.1 which will be migrated to APEX 18 or 19 (to be determined).
Furthermore, the APEX specialist has extensive knowledge of PL/SQL, XML (preferred data warehousing concepts), plugins, Oracle REST Data Services, Oracle APEX listener and Tomcat. This position has the responsibility for the migration and delivery of highly complex applications with multiple connections/interfaces to different systems. The assignment will also cover the delivery of multiple (technical) documents following a SDLC process.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Install, configure and migrate APEX environments

• Serves as liaison between the IT organization and business groups and/or the operations teams.

• Performing technical analysis

• Create functional specification(s)

• Create technical documentation

• Interact with the business.

• Understand business workflow and processes.

• Ensure documentation delivery according to clients SDLC.

CANDITATE QUALIFICATIONS

Essential

• Four-year technical degree required. Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, systems engineering or related field preferred.

• Two or more years of experience with APEX (preferred version(s): 4.x +).

• Understanding of relational database systems and concepts, including experience working with Oracle databases (11.x +).

• Strong knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL, including ability to write and troubleshoot complex SQL statements.

• Knowledge and experience with APEX plugins, Oracle REST data services, Oracle APEX listener and tomcat. of SQL and PL/SQL, including ability to write and troubleshoot complex SQL statements.

• Advanced verbal and written communications skills in English

• Cope with strict procedures and processes.

• Able to work in a team as well as autonomously.

Preferred

• Experience in Pharmaceutical (R&D) environments preferred

• Knowledge of regulatory requirements concerning GxP applications and GAMP5 preferred.

• Familiarity working in international and enterprise level companies.
