Security Engineer

One of my globally leading client is urgently looking for an Security Engineer in the Agile (DevOps) team 'Preventative Security' you work together with your team members to deliver security solutions that contribute to a safer IT infrastructure for the client. The ideal Security Engineer will have large knowledge and experience in implementing and configuring endpoint security in large organizations, such as Advanced Threat Protection, DLP, CASB, EDR and Endpoint Protection, preferably with Symantec products. Having knowledge and experience with for example SIEM systems, Security Use Cases and network security is an advantage. In your background, it is clear that you are comfortable in large and complex technical environments. You have your own specialism and you want to extend, utilize and share your knowledge in a no-nonsense environment.

The ideal Security Engineer must have the following skills

•Knowledge and experience with the design, implementation and integration of security products, Network Security[WS1] , Data Loss Protection, ATP, EDR, including platform architecture (HW, Virtual Machines, OS Windows, DNS, Load-Balancers, Firewalls etc.) for Enterprise graded implementations (>5000 employees);
•At least 2 years of work experience in a Security department;
•Good communications skills, ability to reach an agreement on requirements and solutions in communications with stakeholders at different levels of the organization;
•Able to read, write and speak well in English.
•Problem solving attitude.
•At least 5 years of work experience in the full breadth of information technology;
•Experience with Microsoft Azure tooling and Splunk;
•Knowledge of malware analysis (reverse engineering) [WS2] and how to setup needed environments;
•Able to cope with scalability, interoperability and performance questions and to provide solutions;
•Relevant security certifications, or proof of having the competences;
•Experience in working in a security environment, preferably in the financial sector;
•Actively share knowledge with other team members.

Desired skills
•Affinity, knowledge and/or experience in setting up CI/CD tooling, such as XL Release, Chef, SaltStack, Puppet and Ansible;
•Experience with Mobile Threat Defence solutions;
•Follow trends and developments inside and outside the bank and integrate them with company-wide solutions.
