Data Engineer

Introduction

For one of my clients in the logistics sector, I’m looking for an experienced Data Engineer.

Organization

This international company has its headquarters in Rotterdam and is active in the logistics sector. The company is expanding internationally and invest in high-tech locations to improve the processes. The company offers flexible working hours and digitization is one of the main strategies in the upcoming years.

Function

As a Data Engineer you will work with two Engineers and Data Scientists to improve the data of the company. As a team you will be responsible for the data pipelines to analytics. You have experience with ETL, databases and Datawarehouse development. Besides that, you have experience with AWS and have strong programming skills. The team mostly works with Spark, SQL/NoSQL, Python and Airflow. A software engineering background is considered as a plus. As it is an international environment, the main language is English. You will work on new challenging projects with the team and your new expertise is required to gain new insights.

Function requirements

• 4+ years of experience as a Data Engineer

• Knowledge of ETL and Databases

• AWS

• Python

• (Py)Spark

• SQL/NoSQL

• Airflow

• Fluent in English
