Big Data Engineer

For our prestigious customer, we are currently looking for a Big Data Engineer for a 6-month contract with visibility to extend for an exciting project in the Amsterdam area!

This position consists of implementing solutions for data science projects and building the optimal solutions.

Responsibilities

• You will be designing and implementing data pipelines for data scientists to work on, focusing on processing and ingestion of data.

• Ensuring the quality of deliverables by designing and implementing tests on unit and integration levels;

• Being able to manage user issues and troubleshoot any issues located on the platform;

• Participate in team knowledge sharing, design reviews, etc.;

Your profile

• You have demonstrable engineering experience in big-data environments; Technologies such as the Hadoop ecosystem (Kafka, Spark, NiFi)

• Python programming

• Experience in CI/CD, Docker, Elastic, Logstash, Kibana.

• Experience with, data storage, real time processing, data ingestion and working with Data Scientists.

• Strong experience in Agile environments

• Stakeholder management experience

• Fluency in Dutch and English.
