Job Description

As a member of the team, you will be involved in development and operations of IT for configuration and optimization of the Mobile Access networks of KPN. The team is responsible for the IT for SON (Self Organizing Networks), IT for integration/configuration of mobile elements and IT for assurance of configuration. The radio network supplier is Huawei and the IT is connected via northbound interfaces to the Huawei RAN (2G/3G/4G and future 5G). You are able to:

* Develop solutions for Mobile RAN networks node (BTS) integration, and extension or major changes to a node (BTS, RNC, BSC) via a northbound interface into OSS of Huawei.
* Use of the Mobile network northbound interfaces for Huawei Networks (NBI of CME, and/or NBI REST API, or other options) for node (BTS) integration, and extension or major changes to a node (BTS, RNC, BSC).

Expertise

You are an experienced engineer with programming skills in python. Automation of configuration and optimization is important for KPN to reduce costs and to manage our network more efficiently. You have strong analytical skills and you feel responsible for excellent service to our customers. As part of an Agile working self-managing team, you ensure the availability, continuity and necessary changes within the mobile networks.

Qualifications

* Good communication skills, able to address and convince customer;
* Fluency in English is required, strong verbal and written communication is essential;
* Pro-active, shows initiative, accuracy.

Experience

* 3+ years experience with Python, Perl, Unix, SQL and scripting;
* Experience GSM / UMTS / LTE/ NR radio development related to Northbound interfaces for node (BTS) integration, and extension or major changes to a node (BTS, RNC, BSC) is a big plus.

Expertise

* Strong analytical skills;
* Knowledge of full-stack Python, Perl, Unix, SQL and scripting;
* Knowledge of using Ericsson and Huawei OSS NBI interfaces is a plus;
* Knowledge of Self Organizing Network solutions;
* Knowledge of Nokia/Huawei solutions is a plus;
* Knowledge of Bigdata solutions, modelling and machine learning is a plus.

Team samenstelling

Het is een technische afdeling die op dit moment voornamelijk uit mannen (95%) bestaat die met zijn allen het Mobiel netwerk, plannen, ontwerpen, bouwen en beheren. Er is veel liefde voor het vak en collega's zijn zeer toegewijd. Samen hebben ze het doel het beste netwerk van Nederland te worden. Er is open communicatie, korte lijnen, en ruimte voor eigen ideeën en inzichten. Collega's hebben veel kennis en werken zelfstandig en steeds meer in zelfsturende teams.

Toelichting inhuur behoefte
Voor het Mobile Access netwerk is voor het nieuwe Huawei netwerk, die het huidige Ericsson netwerk vervangt, ontwikkeling van nieuwe ondersteunende IT nodig om levering van integratie scripts te automatiseren. Daarnaast is er een grote backlog ontstaan doordat er zowel voor zowel het bestaande E/// netwerk en het nieuwe Huawei netwerk incl 5G ontwikkeling nodig is om configuratie/parameter assurance binnen de IT te borgen. Dit vereist specifieke kennis en programmeer vaardigheden.
