Data Engineer

We are looking for a Data Engineer to work within our Business Area (BA) Wind, in Offshore Engineering,
System & Maintenance Engineering The Engineering department is the technical know-how center and home of technical competences within BA Wind, setting the standards and guidelines as well as being embedded within our projects to drive technical excellence through the whole project lifecycle.

Working within the System & Maintenance Engineering department of Engineering, the Data Engineer
is responsible for the management and provision of data, as well as the standardization of the data and
documentation for the full (offshore) wind farm asset life cycle. The Integrity - and Data Engineering
team of is the driver for digitalization in Offshore Engineering.

Your responsibilities as Data Engineer

• Design and implement scalable data architecture

• Build and maintain complex data pipelines

• Design and implement functional and performance improvements on the data warehouse

• Evaluate new technology and techniques in order to improve systems design

• Work together with stakeholders including Operation & Maintenance, Data Analytics, Engineering,

Document Management and other functions to identify and manage data interfaces

• Lead data integrity and data governance initiatives

• Mentor colleagues to mature the team and share knowledge with stakeholders

Your responsibilities as Data Engineer

Your profile as Data Engineer

• Academic background in engineering and/or IT with 5 years experience in applicable area

• Extensive experience with architecture and handling big data sets

• Experience in SQL and noSQL data bases

• Experience in MS Azure required

• Experience with Python

• Experience with Kafka, Hive, ERP systems (e.g. SAP) advantageous

• Technical and/or operational background within offshore wind or related industry advantageous

• Flexible mindset to adapt to different system and process environments

• Ability to develop detailed solutions, while always maintaining a higher-level perspective

• Good stakeholder management and strong interpersonal skills,

• Eenjoying an environment characterized by disciplinary and cultural diversity.

• Good communication, technical and commercial skills – Your command of English is strong, both

verbal and written
