Senior Data Engineer/Software Engineer

Introduction

For one of my clients in the Ecommerce sector, I’m looking for a Senior Data Engineer/Software Engineer.

Function

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will have an essential role in the team. Together with other Platform/Data Engineers and an Architect, you will work on the new data platform which runs on AWS. This role consists of complex hands-on software development, create APIs, building and maintaining datablocks, improving the performance and coaching a Junior Data Engineer. The team is looking for someone who is great with Python and Spark and has knowledge of SQL/NoSQL Databases and preferably Airflow. You work on data ingestion, ETL and Development. You will work on challenging projects and have the freedom to work on your own innovative initiatives.

Function requirements

• Senior Data Engineer/Software Engineer with 5+ years of experience

• Python Expert

• Knowledge of Java is a plus

• Knowledge of APIs

• Spark knowledge

• AWS Knowledge

• SQL/NoSQL Databases

• Airflow (beneficial)

• Communicative
