Google Cloud Engineer

For our client, we are looking for a Senior Google Cloud Engineer, who will take the current cloud platform to the next level by ensuring that it is easy to use and maintain, while also building new services. The project is planned to be remote for the time being, however, if the situation permits, you will be expected to work from the office 1 or 2 days a week.

Who are you

You know everything about deployment pipelines and will maintain and improve them so that the developers can release their applications smoothly and reliably. In addition, you make it easy for development teams to create '' infrastructure as code '' for the GCP cloud environment. Automation is something you dream about, therefore you will automate recurring tasks, so that the work of you and the developers becomes easier.

What are you going to do

Together with your team you will ensure that the Google Cloud environment is fully provisioned from code by means of Deployment Manager. You work in an agile team and are working on innovative solutions for the IT infrastructure. You will also be involved in brainstorming and refining user stories that will improve the Cloud Platform and the Developer Experience. You are also responsible for improving the automation around our CI / CD pipelines.

What do we expect from you

• experience with Google Cloud Platform (certification is a big plus)

• programming background that allows you to embrace the DevOps mindset.

• automates "everything", from bootstrap to backup.

• good with Windows, but are also willing to work with Linux.

• experience with configuration management tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Chef, and Puppet.

• experience with scripting and development in Python, Ruby, JavaScript or just plain old Bash

• experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment

• experience in configuration management
