Data Engineer (Azure/Kafka)

For an international market leader, I’m looking for an experienced Data Engineer.

This innovative company is working on a large-scale digitization process to become more sustainable. It is a company with multidisciplinary international teams who are responsible for their own projects and platforms. This company will start new long-term greenfield initiatives that are very interesting and where you have room for working with pioneering technologies and the opportunity to get a promotion.

Function

As a Data Engineer working for this organization, you will be one of the first Engineers in the team to kickstart a large-scale project. The project is mostly focused on Azure in combination with Kafka. The team is looking for a hands-on specialist who can work autonomously, can write sustainable code and can decide on an architectural level which technologies and Engineering practices are essential. You will work closely with a Data Architect and Engineers from other teams. In the end, this team will grow and as one of the first Engineers you have the chance to grow into a lead position. Technologies that are also used by this organization are Databricks, Spark, PySpark and Kubernetes. If you have some experience with Machine Learning, you have an advantage.

Function requirements

• Data Engineer with 4+ years of experience

• Knowledge of Azure (e.g. Data Factory and Data Lake)

• Knowledge of Kafka

• Knowledge of Python

• Knowledge of data pipelines, engineering practices, ETL and Software Architecture

• Knowledge of Databricks, Spark, PySpark and Kubernetes (is preferred)

• Experience with Machine Learning is beneficial

• Autonomous person
