Implementation / solution Architect

For our client, a large bank in Amsterdam, we are searching for an implementation / solution architect.

The Solution Engineers (Architects) work in close cooperation with the development teams on the next generation of applications.
Within Private Banking Investments NL we design and develop front-end- and back-end solutions for our customers, call centres and branches in the Netherlands.

In the agile world of our client, IT is responsible for how Agile teams operate, while the business product owners determine what focus areas the teams works on. This is done in close cooperation between IT and business and between the different grids (domains/knowledge areas).
Grid Investments & Advice is within the bank responsible for the delivery of a wide variety of investment services to our retail and private banking customers. In order to deliver the systems that support these service you will:

• Be working together with Agile development teams

• Be part of a multidisciplinary team which is responsible for the roadmap of our Investments & Advice solution for Private Banking in the Netherlands

• Be working in an informal atmosphere with plenty of room for fun

• Be allowed to make mistakes, as long as we learn from them

Relevant knowledge skills & competences

You are the person that has an eye for architectural challenges. You listen to your customer’s wishes, but are also able to convince that same customer if a solution is impossible or undesirable. You deliver quality in your Solution Intent, but when needed you are also able to be pragmatic. For this we expect you to:

• Have an exploratory and eager mindset, on the lookout for new developments, but you understand that for sustainability, adopting certain standards are required

• Have a basic understanding of investments and financial advisory services

• Have knowledge of TOGAF and Archimate (preferably certified) and know how these can help you in your work as architect

• Have knowledge about current IT trends like Azure Cloud, API, Open Banking, Dev/Ops, SOA, etc.

• Have knowledge of mainframe technology, front-end- and microservices development

• Be able to make connections between various solutions and design workable patterns for teams to develop

• Be a team player, willing to help others and share knowledge whenever you think you can
