Data Engineer

For a fast-growing scale-up in Den Haag, I’m looking for an experienced Data Engineer.

Organization

This scale-up has an international dynamic environment. The company has recently been acquired and got a large capital injection to invest in new initiatives and businesses. For that reason, they have started a new stand-alone business unit to enter new markets and to support the business with new technologies. This company has a state-of-the-art IT department and a professional but at the same time a very nice atmosphere.

Function

As a Data Engineer you will support the team in terms of hands-on development, ETL, data ingestion, APIs, as well as implementing new technologies. You will create advanced data pipelines, work on a data lake and custom software development. You will need experience with Python, Spark and preferably experience with Cloud (Azure or AWS). The team is looking for someone who has a good understanding of Data Engineering and Software Engineering principles and who can help on an architectural level. If you are eager to learn about new technologies, there is room for growth. Being a data enthusiast is essential to this client. You will work in a team of seven specialist who all want to deliver innovative products and projects.

Function requirements

• Data Engineer with at least 4+ years of hands-on experience

• Knowledge of ETL, data ingestion, APIs and data pipelines

• Knowledge of Python

• Knowledge of Spark

• Knowledge of Azure and/or AWS

• Experience with data lakes is beneficial

• Understanding of Data/Software Engineering principles

• Eager to work with the newest technologies
