Ops Engineer

The main purpose for this team, is to provide a high speed and high available cache of the data. The solution consists of a Cassandra database, a Java application that synchronises the data from the source datastore to the cache, and a Java application that orchestrates loading a full extract of the source database into Cassandra. The synchroniser runs on a Kubernetes cluster managed by another platform team, and the loader runs on a tomcat server that is managed by the Platform team.

As an Azure devOPS engineer you will be responsible for making sure they have:

• Monitoring / Logging

• Alerting

• A working release pipeline

As well as:

• Releasing to Acceptance and Production

• Implementing security controls

• Standby support on evenings and weekends
